Paraffin Therapy: Deeply Hydrate Your Skin

PARAFINOTERAPIA. HIDRATA LA PIEL EN PROFUNDIDAD
In-salon paraffin treatments are very effective and have been used for many years. Typically, these treatments are specifically targeted at the hands and feet. However, if we consider the cosmetic effects on the skin, paraffin treatments can be applied to many areas of the body, not just the hands and feet.

What Does Paraffin Do for the Skin?

Paraffin creates an "occlusive" effect with two important functions:
  • It prevents the skin from losing its natural moisture (transepidermal water loss), acting as a barrier.
  • It helps restore the lipid barrier, which serves as the skin’s protective agent.

In this way, the paraffin’s effect on the skin acts like a cosmetic glove, deeply hydrating the skin layers, resulting in a pleasant and healthy treatment for the skin.

What Does Our Starpil Paraffin Therapy Protocol Involve?

It consists of four steps:
  • Application of Cleansing Mousse: A pleasant, lightweight mousse with cleaning agents and Aloe Vera extract to protect and hydrate the skin.
  • Application of Volcanic Exfoliant: A mechanical exfoliant enriched with Pumice particles, which removes dead cells, roughness, and hardness, preparing the skin for the paraffin treatment.
  • Application of Hydrating Lotion: A very light emulsion containing hydrating sugars, vitamins A and E, and Omega 3-6.
  • Paraffin Glove: We offer four different paraffins.

Paraffins:
  • Mint: With toning properties. Contains Monoï De Tahití, which balances the skin's hydrolipidic mantle, making it more elastic and providing a great ability to retain moisture. Mint tones and refreshes the skin.
  • Orange-Peach: With nourishing and protective properties. Rich in Carotenes, it has significant antioxidant properties, making it ideal for mature and dehydrated skin.
  • hea Butter: An antioxidant treatment. Shea butter is one of the best moisturizers and emollients, providing well-being and protection to the skin.
  • Chocolate: Due to its antioxidant and moisturizing properties, cocoa provides exceptional luminosity to the skin, making it suitable for treating dry skin.
